Connor Wickham netted the winning goal as England beat Spain 2-1 in the final of the European U17 Championships in Liechtenstein. Just after the break, the Town striker beat a couple of players on the edge of the area before firing a low shot across the Spanish keeper and into the net.

Goalkeeper Brian Murphy and left-back Shane O’Connor could be in line for Town league debuts as the Blues travel to Sheffield Wednesday looking to climb out of the bottom three. Murphy could take over from Arran Lee-Barrett, who was at fault for two of the goals at Peterborough in the week, while O’Connor has impressed in the reserves recently in the problem left-back position.
